Individuals and partner organizations from all over the world use Project Zug to engage in deep learning and connection. They love our sophisticated content and the chance to learn in havruta.
I still tell stories to people from the course I took a couple of years ago with my daughter on questioning authority. Taking that course with her helped us past a difficult time in our relationship.
The Biblical source Rabbi Elie Kaunfer cites in his Prayerbook course adds a much deeper level of meaning to the opening prayer of the Amidah.
I'm very much enjoying the learning experience. The chavruta you paired me with couldn't have been chosen better; we are on practically the same level and have complementary approaches and perspectives. Looking forward to continuing studying.
קבלו מחמאות על הפרויקט הנפלא. שותפתי ללמידה מאוסטרליה ואני פעילים כחברותא בפרוייקט "זוג" מזה כשלוש שנים ועד כה השלמנו 3 קורסים.
My havruta and I have met in person every week for the past two months, working our way through the Prayerbook course. It's been a wonderful introduction for me to this form of learning: I've gained a greater appreciation and understanding of many prayers and prayer customs, and the course has whetted my appetite for more Jewish study.
The source material has been very engaging, and I find myself using what I've learned in day-to-day practice. Thanks for making Project Zug happen!
I am so pleased that I signed up for this course! The content is very well thought out, the materials are excellent. [My havruta] is a great study partner who makes me think. I look forward to the class time. Thank you so much for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I plan to take more classes with ZUG!
It's been great to have a Jewish learning outlet to reconnect with a dear friend. I love having an "excuse" to meet on a weekly basis and will be sad when we finish our course!
I have been also enjoying learning in pairs with my havruta. Thanks for providing such a universal platform to connect havrutot around the globe.
I'm really enjoying both my havruta and the material we are learning. It is so wonderful to be part of Project Zug. This is my third experience. Each one has been different, but all have been wonderful.
I love the project. Its keeps me connected to Jewish study once a week. Its fun to meet, chat a bit as bubbies, and study for an hour. Thank you for this offering! Its a great opportunity and I am so appreciative!
One of the reasons I am doing Project Zug is that we recently moved to a small town with no nearby Jewish congregations. Project Zug is helping me to maintain a sense of community.
It felt like a form of self care to meet with my partner at a coffee shop and just be with another adult. To be able to focus our conversations around the text provided by Project Zug was icing on the cake. The texts were so relevant to our current lives. We discussed the texts through the lens of parenting, Jews post 10/7 and our careers.
I have participated in five Zug sessions. Each time I was stretched in multiple ways. The exchanges with learning partners in combination with carefully curated texts, music and guiding questions filled my mind, heart and spirit. We have so much richness in our tradition, and the options in Project Zug give us powerful ways to claim and own different pieces of the shared wealth that is our inheritance.
I am extremely grateful for project Zug. My partner this time around is a perfect match. We are learning Mindfulness together. We are both spiritual leaders and we have a daily meditation practice.
I just wanted to say that me and my havruta partner hit it off right away! It's great to connect with a person far away but close in Jewish interests. I enjoy this program.
It has been optimal! Thank you for all the incredible source sheets and materials that you have provided!
I have loved doing Project Zug this semester so much that I genuinely look forward to it each week. I was paired SO well with my chavruta partner, she’s become my virtual bestie! We often even email in between our sessions if we think of additional things or funny thoughts to share with one another. We’ve had some really interesting conversations too that I’ve even been able to bring into my work as a Jewish educator!
We signed up and listed each other as our desired study partner. We listened to the short video and read the study sheets sent each week and got together to discuss them weekly. We were well matched and learned a lot from each other. I had never delved into Judaism this way with a friend, it was very exhilarating.
We had a robust conversation amongst our participants and wound up using all the sources. Thank you!
Courses and hevruta partners have been enlightening, thought provoking. Thank you.
We seem to be a well-matched havruta. From different backgrounds and types of practice, we are aligned in goals for spiritual growth. We enjoy similar approaches to text and translations of it, while offering unepected insights which expand each other’s thinking.
